Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a dedicated Packer to join our manufacturing team. You will inspect, pack, and label products, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness at your station.

You will work 6PM-6AM Thursday to Saturday, stand for the shift, and collaborate with machine operators to maintain quality and efficiency across packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs).

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts Machine Operator or Shift Supervisor of any problems.
• Verifies package weight, code, dates, and price.
• Examines packages for proper seal.
• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers.
• Places carton, can or specialty container onto skid.
• Responsible for training new packers.
• Prepares items when “extra”
• Labels boxes and barrels
• Rework items.
• Cleans work areas.
• Gives breaks and lunches.
• Picks chips in processing room as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times.

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for aPacker to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our Boadway Facility

As a Packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while responsible for their individual station. This position is required to work Thursday to Saturday 6PM-6AM.
