Job Summary

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serve producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and committed partnerships, we innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

SHIFT: 3:00pm-11:30pm M-F

PAY: $30+1 shift differential

The Production Operator focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment, including machining, processing, assembly, or packaging equipment. Responsibilities include:

1. Operating machine tools, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
2. Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods.
3. Monitoring output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
4. Maintaining accurate daily production records and examining production materials.
5. Operating all equipment and processes, monitoring machine parameters, and troubleshooting processing issues.

Required Experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working in temperature-varied environments, including cold and hot zones, with potential dust exposure.
• Shift work including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
