Job summary

Glass Family of Companies in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Packer/Laborer to join our client's production team. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, you will monitor and operate manual and highly automated equipment to help move product through the line.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts (6pm-6am), frequent lifting up to 55 lbs, standing for long periods, and occasional forklift operation. High school diploma required; contract hire with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and report misses or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Monitor equipment and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Pack 25 kg (55 lbs.) bags and assist with ancillary processes.
• Operate and assist with production equipment during changes and batches.
• Take product samples and ensure proper labeling for traceability.
• Complete required paperwork documenting process information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Frequent lifting and standing; occasional stair climbing and overhead reaching.
