Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a detail-oriented Packer Inspector for the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:30pm). You will inspect finished plastic products for defects, package items according to specifications, and label shipments accurately to ensure quality products reach customers on time.

You will work on a full-time, on-site team with opportunities for growth, paid time off, and benefits including 401k matching and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging is preferred.
• Must have strong attention to detail to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Good time management and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer/data entry skills for record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects such as cracks or color issues.
• Package plastic products according to specifications and seal properly.
• Label packages with product information and warnings as needed.
• Monitor production line efficiency and address packaging issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and propose solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of packaging materials as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Packer, you're responsible for inspecting and packaging plastic products, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.
