Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a dedicated packaging associate to safely pack products, verify correct boxes, labels and quantities, and perform quality checks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow GMP/ISO policies, maintain clean workstations and assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting in the packing area.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read traveler/BOM, basic PC skills, and willingness to work around moving machinery while using PPE.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in a team-work oriented environment a plus.
  • Ability to use and read a ruler and document quality/weight.
  • Basic PC knowledge and ability to read traveler/BOM instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely pack quality products and ensure correct boxes, labels and quantities.
  • Perform quality checks and report any issues to the Section Lead.
  • Maintain housekeeping and follow safety, GMP and ISO policies.
  • Set up and troubleshoot packing equipment (box erectors, label applicator).
  • Operate lines in packing area and handle manual box making and material trimming.
  • Safely operate pallet jack and maintain safe handling around moving machinery.

Job DescriptionMajor ResponsibilitiesTo safely pack a quality productive product.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Follow and support all Company safety, GMP and ISO policies.Maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies.Perform required quality checks and understand the quality standards.Quality of the product.Insure the correct boxes are used.Insure correct labels are being applied to the boxes.Insure correct amount of product is placed in the boxes.Insure correct product is placed in the boxes.Reports bad quality product to Section Lead.Maintain good housekeeping.Reads “Traveler” – Bill of Materials (BOM)Checks special instructions.Must pass electric pallet jack certification.Work on lines, LD 98 & 9, AG Line & Fume LineWork in the Packing area, lines LD 3, 4 &12, lines HD 12 & 21.Packing AreaSet up tapers and change tape rolls.Set up and trouble shoot box erectors.Set up label applicatorSafe operation of bin liftSafe handling of the bin gates.Know pallet stacking formations for all orders.In Line PackerSafely pulling of plastic and picking up scrap.Help string up downstream equipment.Know pallet stacking formation for all orders.Safe handling of hand taper and replacing the tape roll.Manual box making.Operates windersUses a J-Knife safely to cut and tuck product.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
