Job summary

Beltmann Relocation Group is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Helper in Garland, TX. The role involves packing, crating, and labeling items for relocation, with emphasis on safe handling and efficient carton management.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a professional attitude, reliability, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. Training is provided, and some Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting (50 lbs or more) and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Professional attitude and clean appearance; ability to work Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble appropriate cartons for items to be packed.
• Wrap protective material around items and insert into cartons to prevent breakage.
• Close, seal and label cartons and record on inventory.
• Pack and crate special items in specialized containers for customers.
• Maintain material count by carton type.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assembles appropriate cartons for items to be packed.
• Wraps protective material around item, and inserts into cartons, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Closes, seals and appropriately label cartons and record on inventory.
• Packs and crates special items in specialized containers for customer, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Maintains material count by carton type.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to handle heavy lifting (50 lbs or more)
• Experience in moving or similar industry a plus
• Professional attitude
• Clean professional appearance
• Must be able to work Monday- Friday, & Occasionally on Saturdays
• Must pass Drug Screen and Background Check
• This is not an inside job- Lots of stairs & a lot of walking in the heat of the day

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
