Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie, a leader in engineered structural connectors, is seeking an Associate Packer in Columbus, OH. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, with overtime as needed.

You will assemble and pack products, label items, and maintain a clean, safe work area in line with 6S standards. You must have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 50 pounds with appropriate equipment, and complete mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Mathematical reasoning: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.

• Prioritize safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines and procedures.

YOU

As an Associate Packer, you will be responsible for assembling and packing products and accessories in boxes. This is a full-time position is Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm with overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

• Assemble, label and pack correctly, various products and accessory items as directed on a daily basis. (85%)
• Maintain work area to 6S standards. (10%)
• Maintain mandatory training requirements. (5%)

Desired Skills And Experience

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

PAY

$17.60 - $26.39 / hour
