Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily paperwork, planning, and inter-department communication between the warehouse, Inside Sales, customers, and carriers. This full-time role is based in Enfield, CT.

You will input data into SAP, coordinate receipt and dispatch of goods, and handle change orders while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position may involve minimal travel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years minimum related warehouse/manufacturing experience or training.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Attendance: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
  • Speaking: Able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization
  • Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with other team members to accomplish group goals
  • Results Focus & Initiative: Ability to multi task and take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to will call customers, truck drivers and internal departments.
  • Coordinate receipt and dispatch of goods with carriers and suppliers for Inter-Branch truckloads and customer deliveries.
  • Communicate change order responses to Inside Sales.
  • Input data into SAP, review paperwork, and correct as needed.
  • Manage order change requests via email, and ensure proper processing.

YOU

As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining the daily paperwork and planning functions of the warehouse. This role manages communication between the warehouse and customers/will-calls, Inside Sales, and transportation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Provide customer service to will call customers, truck drivers and internal departments. Including, but not limited to, communicating change order responses to Inside Sales, and coordinating receipt and dispatch of goods with carriers and suppliers for Inter-Branch truckloads and customer deliveries. (60%)

Manage order change requests via email, and make sure that the orders are processed properly. (20%)

Input data into SAP, review paperwork, and make any corrections necessary. (20%)

Travel Required

This position may require minimal travel for training purposes.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Enfield, CT.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$27.31 - $43.70 / hour

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions.
