Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a detail-oriented packer/assembler to join our Monroe, NC production team. The role focuses on accurate packing, labeling, and maintaining flow to meet productivity targets.

You will read orders, prepare cartons, apply labels, and ensure quality through strict adherence to procedures. Prior ERP experience and reliable data entry are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret orders and product requirements.
• Precise typing and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail to avoid packing errors.
• Experience with ERP systems and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret orders including finished product requirements.
• Wrap and pack door closers, components, mounting brackets and related parts per productivity standards with minimal errors.
• Assemble and form pre-cut cartons, inserts, templates, and accessories; robots may form boxes in some cases.
• Perform miscellaneous assembly tasks and set up tables to maintain product flow.
• Mark, stamp and apply labels with accurate information.
• Form and pack products in shop cartons using designated packing methods.
• Utilize computer systems including ERP and frequent use of copiers/printers.
• Comply with plant safety regulations and company policies.
• Follow ISO procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

This position is for someone who wants to join a dynamic team environment and someone who is able to keep up with production demands.

• Read and interpret orders including the order requirements of finished product.
• Wrap and pack a variety of door closers, components, arm combinations, mounting brackets and other associated parts according with 90% + of productivity standards established and zero packing errors.
• Form pre-cut packing cartons, inserts, enclosed templates and other prescribed product and accessories. In some instances, a robot forms the boxes and/or cartons.
• Perform miscellaneous assembly of components and other duties including set-up of tables to maintain uniform product flow.
• Mark, stamp and apply labels with correct descriptive information.
• Form and pack product in shop cartons using the required order packing methods.
• Previous experience using computer systems including ERP systems with good as well as very accurate typing skills. Frequent use of Copiers/Printers.
• Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.
• Follow all ISO procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Other duties as assigned and required by the supervisor.
