Job summary

MCC Label in Manchester Township, PA, is seeking an entry-level Packer to inspect, band, and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels, assemble and pack boxes, and prepare shipments. You will follow safety and quality standards and collaborate with other departments to support company goals.

Qualifications

• Able to spend a full shift standing up.
• Positive attitude and reliability.
• Physical demands include standing, fine motor skills, reaching with arms, and good hearing.
• Frequent walking is required during the shift.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be needed.
• Regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds is required.
• Vision requirements include near, far, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects finished labels to ensure quality.
• Bands and shrink wraps stacks of finished labels.
• Assembles corrugated boxes or trays.
• Packs finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stacks boxes on a pallet for shipment.
• Completes required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operates a pallet jack.
• Complies with facility safety policies and procedures (ISO, GMA SAFE, HACCP).
• Interacts professionally with associates and upholds the company ethics.
• Maintains daily housekeeping and may assist with painting and cleaning.

The Packer is tasked with inspecting, banding, and shrink-wrapping stacks of finished labels, as well as assembling and packing boxes of finished labels. Meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. Interacts with other departments to achieve the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level role that we intend to grow into different positions within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects finished labels to ensure quality.
• Bands and shrink wraps stacks of finished labels.
• Assembles corrugated boxes or trays.
• Packs finished labels in boxes for shipment.

• Completes required documentation in an accurate and prompt manner.
• Operates a pallet jack.
• Complies with established facility safety policies and procedures, other work instructions, and other regulations (IE: ISO, GMA SAFE, HACCP) as applicable.
• Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company's code of ethics.
• Responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping efforts, which may include painting and cleaning of the facility (interior and exterior).
• Travels as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
