Job summary

MCC Label, a global leader in premium labels, is seeking an entry-level Packer. You will inspect, band, and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels, and assemble/pack boxes for shipment. Interact with other departments to meet quality and safety standards.

This role is designed for growth within the company, with opportunities to advance into other positions as you develop. A strong safety mindset and ability to handle physical tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Must stand for full shift and stand for long periods.
• Positive attitude.
• Physical demands include standing, manual dexterity, reaching, speaking and hearing.
• Frequent walking required.
• Occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels for quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels for shipment.
• Stack boxes on a pallet.
• Complete required documentation promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Follow facility safety policies and procedures (ISO, GMA SAFE, HACCP).
• Interact professionally with associates and uphold the company's code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping including cleaning of the facility.
• Travel as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Packer is tasked with inspecting, banding, and shrink-wrapping stacks of finished labels, as well as assembling and packing boxes of finished labels. Meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. Interacts with other departments to achieve the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level role that we intend to grow into different positions within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects finished labels to ensure quality.
• Bands and shrink wraps stacks of finished labels.
• Assembles corrugated boxes or trays.
• Packs finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on a pallet for shipment.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and prompt manner.
• Operates a pallet jack.
• Complies with established facility safety policies and procedures, other work instructions, and other regulations (IE: ISO, GMA SAFE, HACCP) as applicable.
• Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company's code of ethics.
• Responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping efforts, which may include painting and cleaning of the facility (interior and exterior).
• Travels as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.
• This position requires frequent walking.
