Job summary

Cedar’s Foods is seeking a motivated Packer to support production by packing, labeling, and inspecting finished goods in a fast-paced facility in Massachusetts.

You will follow GMPs, assist with changeovers, and ensure accurate counts while maintaining safety and attendance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold environments is required.

• Must have the ability to work extended hours while standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
• Examine all finished product to ensure packing specifications are met, date code is applied.
• Inspect product for flaws or defects.
• Ensure correct counts, bags and boxes according to job specifications.
• Assist in changeovers and clean work area and equipment using cleaning solutions.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices while in production areas.
• Adhere to and enforce procedures in regards to Food Defense, Safety, and HACCP.
• Report all accidents, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Break down cardboard for recycling and separate waste as per company’s policy.
• Perform related duties as required by supervisor.

• Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting
• Examine all finished product to ensure that packing specifications are met, date code is applied
• Inspect product for flaws or defects
