Shift differential

Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a 2nd shift Packer to operate on a fast-moving production line handling food packaging. You will interface with equipment, manage conveyor-based processes, and ensure products are properly formed and packed.

The role includes a shift from 1:30pm to 10:00pm with overtime as needed, and a shift differential of $1.50 on select shifts, with a base pay of $18.49 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with mass flow containers and packaging processes.
• Ability to inspect materials and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Ability to weigh/measure materials to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Add goods into correct mass flow containers and prepare for disbursement; clean containers.
• Inspect materials and products for defects and conformance to specs.
• Weigh or measure materials to ensure specifications.
• Identify and label materials, products, and samples per instructions.
• Record production data on forms.
• Modify materials during manufacturing to meet requirements.
• Operate controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery.
• Feed, load and unload materials into machines and equipment using tools and devices.
• Perform other duties as required for packing and feeder roles.

Shift:

- 2nd Shift: 1:30pm-10:00pm**(Shift differential available) Monday-Friday with Overtime as needed.

Pay:

$18.49+ $1.50 shift differential for certain shifts

Summary:

Packers are responsible for interfacing with equipment and a wide selection of food items.Being a food Packer, you will typically work on a fast-moving production line, with food passing down on conveyor belts, through a variety of stages; mixing, cooking and packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for adding goods into their correct mass flow containers and preparing them for disbursement. Cleans and prepares containers before placing goods in them.
• Inspects materials and products for defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Weighs or measures materials or products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Identifies and marks materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
• Records production and operational information and data on specified forms.
• Modifies materials and products during manufacturing process to meet requirements.
• Moves controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment.
• Feeds materials into machines and equipment to process and manufacture products.
• Loads materials and products into machines and equipment, using hand tools and moving devices.
• Removes materials and products from machines and equipment, using hand tools and moving devices.
• Off bears materials and products from machines and equipment, using hand tools.
• And all other duties required in the packing and feeder position
