Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a Packer 1 for Everett, WA on a full-time, non-exempt hourly basis. The role offers 1st through 4th shift options with varied start times and a starting pay of $20.77 per hour, plus shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities include measuring, weighing, counting, inspecting materials, documenting information, sealing and packing items, and maintaining clean work areas.

• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specs are met.
• Ensure all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on forms; seal containers using wrapping materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools; clean areas as needed.
• Follow supervisor instructions and ensure part integrity after processing; visually inspect parts.

Schedule

1st Shift (Monday - Friday; 5am - 1:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday- Friday;2pm- 10:30pm), 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday; 10pm - 6:30am) or 4th shift (Friday - Sunday; 6am -6pm)

Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm), 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm 6:30am)

Pay

$20.77/hr. (+10% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift, +15% Shift Differential for 3rd Shift)

Essential Functions

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.) Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly Perform other duties as assigned

Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator (provided by Company).
