Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a full-time 3rd shift packer to prepare parts for shipment. You will measure, weigh, count, inspect, document, and seal containers, assemble cartons, and maintain clean work areas while following supervisor instructions.

The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to stand for long periods in a manufacturing setting. ITAR compliance will be verified.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specs are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Seal containers or materials using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas with cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks.
• Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
• Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
