Job summary

Wilsonart in Denver is seeking a Warehouse Assistant I. The role performs warehousing tasks to replenish finished goods and fills customer orders, inspecting and packing materials for shipment as needed.

Essential duties include receiving materials, checking bins, and reporting discrepancies, with safety protocols followed at all times. High School Diploma or GED required and 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.

  • Ability to learn computer systems to check inventories and process orders.
  • Must be able to read and understand customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Receive materials from manufacturing facilities and vendors.

  • Verify materials against manifest and report discrepancies.
  • Photograph defective materials and inform supervisor.
  • Cut down over-sized laminate to fill orders.
  • Read, interpret, process and pack orders.
  • Perform total skid count for loads.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and assist customers.

Job Description:

Position Overview: Warehouse Assistant I

Wilsonart, in Denver, currently has an opening for a Warehouse Assistant I. This person performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
  • Checks and places materials in the correct bin
  • Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
  • Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
  • Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders
  • Reads, interprets, processes, and packs orders
  • Performs total skid count for loads
  • Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures
  • Assists the needs of the customer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to learn computers sufficient to check inventories
  • Ability to learn materials inventoried
  • Ability to learn packing techniques
  • Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to drive a lift truck
  • Ability to read and understand customer orders
  • Ability to operate a saw
  • Ability to enter data at an acceptable speed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years relevant warehouse experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Performing task with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the day is also required.

COMPENSATION: $20.35 - $25.10/HR, DOE

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
