Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Packer to operate 14 packaging stations, fill boxes with Carbopol powder, and maintain a clean, safe work area. You will adjust weights, assemble materials, and monitor equipment to ensure efficient packaging processes.

A strong work ethic and clear English communication are essential as part of a safety-first manufacturing team. Experience with packaging lines and basic maintenance is a plus; candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work

Responsibilities

• Operate 14 packaging stations to package product for shipment.
• Package Carbopol powder into lined boxes and maintain clean packing area.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report incidents as required.
• Fill boxes to meet established weights and productivity standards.
• Adjust box contents to prescribed weights.
• Assemble and transport boxes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize performance.
• Sample product and run labels for lab testing.
• Perform minor maintenance and lubrication of packaging equipment.
• Tare and calibrate scales.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Packer, you willoperate 14 packaging stations to package product for shipment. You will package Carbopol powder into lined boxes and maintain the cleanliness of the packaging work area.

• Demonstrate a safety-first mentality by adhering to all RC14001 and HSES procedures and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company’s polices including reporting incidents to the Supervisor and HSES Department.
• Work from a standing position to fill boxes to meet established weights and productivity standards.
• Adjust box contents to prescribed weights.
• Keep the packaging area clean.
• Assemble and transport boxes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize performance.
• Sample product, take samples to lab, make and apply labels.
• Perform minor maintenance and lubrication of packaging equipment.
• Tare and calibrate scales.
• Determine correct vacuum on densifier.
• Adjusting nitrogen purges on equipment.
• Requesting maintenance on faulty equipmentPacking problems that cannot be solved.

Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success

• High School Diploma / GED .
• Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, reliability and be detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward

• 1+ year general manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Experience operating any of the equipment in the area: Dry hopper, Fitzmill, Densifier, Vibrox, Conveyor system, scales, lubrication equipment, various hand tools, housekeeping equipment and safety equipment is a plus.
