Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Packer in Downingtown, PA to support the operations team by feeding material into machines, inspecting products for defects, and packing finished goods. This role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with English safety protocol literacy.

The position offers a 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) with starting pay of $20.22 per hour and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus tuition

• Ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English.

Responsibilities

• Feeds material into machines and packs finished goods in correct configuration.
• Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes.
• Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.
• Replaces adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
• Ensures labeling and proper placement of finished goods or work in progress.
• Stacks finished product for transportation and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Reports health, safety, hygiene, quality or efficiency issues to supervisor.
• Follows company safety rules and completes paperwork accurately.

Compensation Includes

• Starting pay rate from $20.22/hour

Available Shifts

• 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities

• Provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects and pack finished goods in correct configuration
• Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging
• Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product
• Replacement of adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery
• Ensure that any finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed in the correct position
• Stacks finished product in correct configuration, ready for transportation
• Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping, and that area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy
• Promptly inform supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality and efficiencies
• Follows all Company established rules and policies; Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent is required
• 1 year previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• The ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English is required
