Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Packer in St. Charles, IL. This role supports the operations team by feeding materials into machines, inspecting products for defects, and packing finished goods in the correct configuration.

You will perform quality checks, adjust machines as needed, and ensure proper labeling and packaging. The position requires prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse settings and the ability to work effectively in a team while following standard work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Feed material into machines safely and inspect products for defects.
• Pack finished goods in correct configuration and perform quality checks.

• Replace adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
• Ensure labels are present and placed correctly on finished goods.
• Stack finished products for transport and maintain housekeeping and safety.
• Notify supervisor of health, safety, or quality issues and follow company rules.

St. Charles, IL

Compensation

• Pay Range $19.32 - 20.91/hr + $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift & $1.50 shift differential for 3rd shift

Available Shifts

• 2nd: 3:00 pm- 11 pm, Monday - Friday
• 3rd: 11:00 pm - 7am , Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Packer provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines in our manufacturing environment, inspect product for defects and pack finished goods in correct configuration
• Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging
• Packer makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product
• Replacement of adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery
• Ensure that any finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed in the correct position
• Stacks finished product in correct configuration, ready for transportation
• Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping, and that area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy
• Promptly inform supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality and efficiencies
• Follows all Company established rules and policies; Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment, is highly preferred
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Ability to follow standard work instructions is required
