Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Lead Packer in Mt. Vernon, OH to prepare materials for processing, feed them into machinery, inspect products for quality, and package for shipment. The role is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and efficiency.

The position offers a starting pay of $23.13 per hour with an additional $1 per hour night shift differential. Nights run 7:00pm–7:00am, with training on the first shift for the first month.

Qualifications

• Stable work history; Preferably one year of experience in a manufacturing environment or other physical labor job is strongly preferred.
• Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace.
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence.
• Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level.

• Staffing for packers and line assignments based on standards.
• Manage training for new packers & trainers.
• Coordination of meal and breaks for packers.
• Maintain inventory for production labels, port tickets, WIP labels.
• Ensure line is ready for set up process, by clearing line.
• Manages packers when line goes down and reviews work assignments.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
• Have forklift experience.
