Alameda Baking Company, a fast-growing wholesale bakery, is seeking a Packer to join our Alameda facility. This full-time position packages breads and pastries for wholesale, retail, and special orders while upholding GMP and food safety standards.

You will collaborate with the production and logistics teams, pre-label packaging, and ensure accurate orders. Weekend/holiday availability may be required; competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack baked goods into bags, boxes, or trays according to packing lists and orders.
• Ensure product, quantity, and labeling match customer orders.
• Handle items carefully to prevent breakage or damage.
• Communicate with baking and logistics teams about shortages or quality issues.
• Pre-label packaging, prepare order stickers, and stage delivery carts.
• Track and report waste and maintain clean, organized work area.

Join a team where your work matters.About the RolePackers make sure our breads and pastries reach customers in excellent condition. You'll package baked goods accurately and efficiently for wholesale, retail, and special orders in a fast-paced bakery production facility, while keeping product quality, labeling, and food safety standards high. This role reports to the Packing Lead.What You'll Do- Pack baked goods into bags, boxes, or trays based on packing lists and order sheets- Confirm that product, quantity, and labeling match each customer's order- Handle all items with care to prevent breakage or damage- Communicate with the baking and logistics teams about shortages, substitutions, or quality issues- Pre-label packaging, prepare order stickers, and stage delivery carts- Track and report waste- Keep your work area clean and organized, and follow food safety standards (GMP, HACCP/SQF) and PPE requirements- Complete end-of-shift cleaning and sanitation (sweeping, mopping, trash removal)- Follow timekeeping procedures, including accurate clock-in/clock-out and meal and rest breaksScheduleFull-time.
