Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Utility Operator in Quincy, IL (1st shift). You will operate a blending system, handle and palletize bags up to 50 lbs, and service packaging equipment to meet specifications and labeling requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, basic math skills, and strong communication across all levels of the organization. A focus on safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness and ability to work safely and follow OSHA industrial regulations.
• Ability to operate a forklift and maintain forklift certification.
• Basic mathematical skills, including multiplication, addition, and percentages.
• Good overall communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate the blending system to ensure recipes meet specifications and that all packaged bags and supersacks comply with weight tolerances and regulatory labeling requirements.
• Manually handle and palletize bags weighing up to 50 lbs at a rate of up to 120 per hour for the shift.
• Service and repair bulk powders and packaging equipment, including supersack fillers and automatic bagging systems.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and inspect packaging supplies for reuse.
• Collaborate with purchasing and scheduling teams to ensure an adequate supply of supersacks is on hand.
