Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a packaging technician to receive customer samples and record data in the Shipping and Receiving log. You will conduct transit and packaging integrity testing per ASTM/ISTA or customer protocol and update the laboratory inventory system with sample information.

The role requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs, proficiency with MS Office, and good documentation practices. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with comprehensive benefits in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent with 3–5 years packaging experience.
• Production testing experience desired but not required.
• Proficient in MS Office and general computer literacy.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer samples and record information in Shipping and Receiving log.
• Conduct packaging testing per ASTM/ISTA or customer protocol.
• Add sample information to LIMS and generate a Work Order.
• Prepare Test Evidence Reports.
• Data review and reporting with good documentation practices.
• Maintain records of packaging testing.
• Provide customer support and update test status and results.
• Report deviations to operations manager.
• Comply with QMS procedures and company policies.

Job Description

• Receiving Customer samples and recording information in Shipping and receiving Log.
• Conduct Transit and Package Integrity Testing as Per ASTM Standards , ISTA standard or per Customer Protocol.
• Add Sample Information to Laboratory Inventory Management System and may include generating a Work Order
• Prepare Test Evidence Report.
• Entry level data review and data reporting, following good documentation practices
• Maintain Records of Packaging Testing.
• Monitor and Provide customer support regarding testing services provided.
• Update Customer on test Status, updates, results.
• Report any Deviation observed to operations Manager.
• Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• B.S Degree in Engineering, Packaging or Packaging Emphasis, or High School/Associate Degree with 3-5 years of previous experience in packaging technical experience.
• Production testing or related industry is desired but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and General Computer Literacy is required.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards is desired.
• Ability to lift bulky items up to 30 lbs, climb, bend and reach without restriction is required.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Candidates within a commutable distance of San Jose, CA are encouraged to apply.

Compensation: 18-25/hr
