Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Packaging Technologist in Bloomington, IL to partner with Quality Assurance and Production, ensuring proper application of procedures and monitoring product development. You will lead process optimization, perform sensory assessments, and train staff on controls and specifications.

The role requires a biology background with 1-3 years of experience, strong knowledge of organoleptic testing, and familiarity with Ferrero's manufacturing tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology with 1-3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of organoleptic testing.
• Knowledge of Ferrero product technology and process science.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment, SOPs and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet specs, quality standards, and food safety through monitoring and testing.
• Serve as site technical expert on product characteristics and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor critical process parameters and quality results for consistency.
• Maintain specifications, formulas, SOPs, and production settings; support training.
• Lead start-ups and optimization, including data collection and analysis.
• Conduct product evaluations, laboratory testing, sampling, and sensory assessments.
• Identify root causes of quality issues to reduce waste and rejects.
• Support inspections and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Train production staff on process controls and product requirements.
• Promote all company policies and food safety programs.
