Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Packaging Engineer – Value Improvement & Sustainability to lead packaging initiatives across North America for iconic brands. You will scope, evaluate, and manage programs that drive cost efficiency, operational excellence, and environmental impact reduction.

Reporting to the R&D Packaging Sustainability and Value Improvement Manager, you’ll collaborate with R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Central Sustainability teams to share best practices and ensure global policy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Materials Science, or Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging development within FMCG.
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, designs, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with sustainability-driven packaging design and data/reporting management.

Responsibilities

Assess packaging materials, designs, and processes to identify cost, efficiency, and environmental improvements.
Co-lead ideation with sites, suppliers, and cross-functional partners for value improvement and cost-optimization projects.
Track and document optimization initiatives and report results to stakeholders.
Develop tools and programs for visibility and data-driven decision-making across teams.
Coordinate packaging sustainability initiatives across North America in line with global policies.
