Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a regular, full-time Packaging Operator in El Dorado, AR to support safe, efficient production. You will load finished products, package to the correct weight, complete daily inspections, and maintain packaging documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude (Proper tools for maint. activity) within the plant.
• Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operations by completing, supporting, and participating in all assigned tasks.
• Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production policies, SOPs, and regulations are followed.
• Loading of finished products in various bulk containers.
• Package material to correct weight and verify label and packaging documentation.
• Complete Packaging Reports as well as complete daily inspections.
• Daily Production quota set by Unit Supervision.
• Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room to identify and report unusual and unsafe conditions.
• Identify routine maintenance requirements.
• Perform minor maintenance to piping and equipment as needed.
• Participate in activities, meetings, and projects which will enhance plant safety, environmental, reliability, cost, and production performance.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment.
