Job summary

Mid America Pet Food is seeking a dedicated Packaging Technician to ensure finished goods are accurately packaged and meet quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will perform routine packaging, quality checks, data entry, and maintain a safe, clean workspace while supporting shifts that may include nights and weekends; overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness to learn new software applications.
• Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work demands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment at all times, adhering to all company safety protocols.
• Accurately package finished goods according to specifications and quality standards, ensuring they are ready for sale.
• Perform routine quality tests on packaged products, meticulously documenting results and ensuring timely completion according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to review test results and ensure optimal product quality and efficiency in the packaging process.
• Proactively identify and report any out-of-specification results to the Shift Manager.
• Maintain packaging supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Shift Manager.
• Participate in special testing requests from Quality Control as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry related to packaging and quality checks.
• Collect samples for quality data checks, projects, and studies within established timelines.
