Blount Fine Foods Corp. is seeking a Packaging Technician II to ensure continuous, trouble-free operation of cup packout equipment in our Fall River facility.

Join a family-owned manufacturer delivering restaurant-quality soups, entrées, and sides nationwide. Responsibilities include daily preventive maintenance, quick recovery from breakdowns, equipment adjustments to minimize downtime, and learning all packout systems to train others.

Qualifications

• One year certificate or 1–2 years related experience.
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of all Packout line equipment.
• Repair of any breakdowns during normal production.
• Proactive line adjustments to prevent downtime.
• Preventive maintenance to minimize future downtime.
• Learn all aspects of processing line equipment and train others.
• Identify product variation to set up machinery promptly.

The pay range for this job is $18.50 to $18.96 per hour.

This position is first shift, start time is 8:30am.

Summary

The Packaging Technician II is responsible for the continuous and “trouble free” running of all equipment incorporated within the Cup Packout processing department.

Responsibilities:

• Daily maintenance of all Packout line equipment
• Repair of any breakdowns during normal production.
• Proactive line adjustments, to prevent lost processing time.
• Continuous equipment Preventative Maintenance, to eliminate or minimize future processing “downtime”
• Ability to learn all aspects of processing line equipment, with the ability to teach others key primary adjustments
• Ability to identify product variation to set up machinery in a timely manner.
• Proactive approach to mitigate processes lost time between production runs.
• Positional accountabilities
• Understand implications of “down time” and inefficient processing.
  • Understand how to react to such matters, to minimize downtime incurred.
  • Develop a proactive approach to address potential downtime obstructions.
• Responsible for any processing line, equipment based, “Down Time”.
• “Your equipment, your “Down Time”.
• Effective and continuous communication with Maintenance and Lead to discuss any resolve any hindrances to processing line time.
• Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.

Education and Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• communicate effectively both written and verbally in English as it pertains to individual position.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
