Job summary

The Simplot Company in Ontario, OR is hiring a Packaging Operator 1 (Crew A). You will operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment, support maintenance, and help ensure product quality and safety throughout the packaging area.

We value hands-on problem solving, the ability to read instructions, and teamwork to cover shifts and training. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-year certificate from college/technical school or 3–6 months related experience.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair support for equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform quality checks and sampling.
• Conduct changeovers on packaging equipment.
• Train other plant personnel in packaging processes.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
