Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Hill's Pet Nutrition, Bowling Green, KY, seeks a Packaging Technician I to operate and oversee packaging lines, ensuring adherence to GMPs and Hill's safety policies. You will handle bagging, line changeovers, sampling, and data logging while maintaining product quality and sanitary standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Proficient with computers and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, starts up and runs line with manual handling requirements.
• Communicates with outgoing line person from prior shift to ascertain line status.
• Inspects packaging machinery for full functionality.
• Operates sealers for all size bags.
• Stacks bags (1–50 lbs) and handles line changeovers.
• Changes carrier screens for different bag sizes.
• Troubleshoots minor line problems and records data every half hour.
• Gathers samples for lab testing and maintains clean, sanitary work area.
