Metals USA is seeking a Packager for our Liberty, MO location. The role involves receiving, packing and stocking duties with emphasis on safety and accuracy. A $1.50/hr shift premium applies for the 2nd shift, and the company offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Reads English fluently.
• Understands safety rules and OSHA standards.
• Follows company policies in varying situations.
• Reads measuring tape and caliper.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Warehouse experience preferred; forklift/ crane experience helpful.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package bundles with metal strapping around material width/length.
• Place paper corner protectors to protect the product per spec.
• Use packaging equipment to tighten strapping around bundles.
• Check parts to ensure correct size.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and side loaders.
• Move and stock products and supplies into designated storage areas.
• Interpret and anticipate material requirements at work centers.
• Maintain neat, organized inventory and warehouse area.
• Identify defects and package designated items.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
