Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Kentucky is seeking a Team Packager to perform repetitive loading and unloading to prepare finished goods for transport. You will operate packaging machines, apply labels, and ensure quality standards as part of a collaborative packing team.

The role is hourly and non-exempt, requiring attention to detail, safety, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong reliability and teamwork are essential for meeting daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to perform essential duties.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment.
• Keeps work area clean and organized and follows safety procedures.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects product and transfers defects.
• Loads product into packaging machines and monitors function.
• Unloads and inspects packaged product for quality.
• Places packaged product into boxes and applies labels.
• Uses equipment to weigh, seal, and shrinkwrap loads.
• Stacks boxes and moves pallets to Shipping area.
• Assists with stacking and setup as needed.
