Job summary

The Leavenworth Packaging Specialist at Hallmark Cards, Inc. performs a variety of hand-oriented duties including unloading cards and packages from conveyors, placing items on skids, feeding envelope blanks, and operating label machines.

You may assist with make-readies and quality checks while supporting production targets. The role requires flexibility to learn multiple assignments, maintain safety, and work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk approximately 95% of the time.
• Ability to reach, twist, bend, use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills approximately 95% of the time.
• Ability to frequently work at or above shoulder level.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cross-training between departments and make-readies.
• Assist the operator with maintaining production by placing cards/stock onto flat skid or in carton boxes and packing envelopes.
• Execute Quality System including preflight, checking products for accuracy, sampling plan, and removal of salvage/spoilage using approved methods.
• Utilize good safety practices.
