Job summary

Altium Packaging in Buena Park, CA is seeking an entry-level Production Packaging Associate. You will package materials and finished products, load and move materials, and operate packaging equipment while following Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities include monitoring conveyors, inspecting bottles for quality, labeling accuracy, and maintaining clean workstations. Training is provided within 90 days, with overtime possible to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills are required.
• Basic computer experience.
• Prefer High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I, training within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
• Demonstrates punctuality and adheres to work schedule.
• Demonstrates a Teamwork attitude by working well and effectively with others.
• Adheres to company General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keeps the work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams from lines.
• Pick up dropped bottles from production floor and place into designated bins.
• Place discarded bottles into grinder, if applicable.
• Inspects the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling.
• Performs bottle inspections, such as drop tests for designated lines.
• Immediately escalates all bottle abnormalities, defects and quality issues when found.
• Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed.
• Ensure correct labeling, bottle description and packaging of product in accordance with specific customer requirements.
• Move finished goods to designated area.
• Ensure efficient set up and organization of workstations.
• Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to facilitate smooth transitions between shifts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
