Job summary

Apache Mills, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for Packaging Level 1 Qualified - Material Handler to join our 1st Shift Production Team in Calhoun, GA. This role helps with startup and end-of-shift duties, labeling, packaging, and production tracking.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, lift and perform in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality and attendance standards.

Qualifications

• Perform shift startups and end of shift duties as needed.
• Ability to spot and remove defective mats.
• Ensure proper labeling tag positions and packaging of product.
• Change the plastic on the machine, load the machine and put the information on the computer for it to print the pack SKU label.
• Fill out the production form and keep production totals correct.
• Helping team members in need of help.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Meet or exceed company quality standards.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Follow company processes and procedures.
• The ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while managing material or products.
• work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors.
• Perform job duties at variable temperatures based on weather conditions (including hot weather)
• Ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises.
• Successfully complete drug and background screenings
