Job summary

Apache Mills, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for Material Handler positions to join our 1st Shift Production Team in Calhoun, GA. This position is regularly scheduled for Monday–Friday, including some Saturday. There are immediate advancement opportunities for those who perform above expectations.

The role requires the ability to perform shift startups and end-of-shift duties, stand/walk/lift/bend, and maintain production totals. Drug and background screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Ability to spot and remove defective mats.
• Ensure proper labeling tag positions and packaging of product.
• Change the plastic on the machine, load the machine and print the pack SKU label.
• Fill out the production form and keep production totals correct.
• Help team members in need of help.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Meet or exceed company quality standards.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Follow company processes and procedures.
• Stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while managing material.
• Work cooperatively with all team members, vendors, and visitors.
• Perform job duties at variable temperatures (including hot weather).
• Ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises.
• Successfully complete drug and background screenings.
