Job summary

Western Smokehouse Partners is hiring for a Packaging Team Member to support the daily packaging line operations of Ready-to-Eat meat products. The role involves machine setup, feeding, catching, labeling, and metal detection to ensure high-quality output under USDA regulations.

The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced team, is quality-focused, and able to perform repetitive tasks in a cold environment while lifting up to 60 lbs. Prior manufacturing or food production experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems like Vista Trac.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours, lift up to 60 lbs, and work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Wear required food safety garments in designated areas.
• Feed product into the packaging machine, ensuring proper size, color, and quality.
• Set up and verify printer information for lot and best-by dates.
• Monitor packaging machine functions and load materials.
• Package, label, palletize finished product per specifications.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and packaging area regularly.
• Assist in other duties as needed and comply with GMP, FDA, USDA regulations.
