Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company is hiring a Packaging Technician for the 3rd shift in Hickory, NC. The role runs Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a base rate of $16.00/hr plus a $3.00/hr shift differential, totaling $19.00/hr.

The position involves line work, labeling, defect reporting, and coordinating with material handlers to ensure smooth packaging operations. A high school diploma is preferred but not required; strong teamwork and safety practices are essential.

• Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must have minimal math skills.
• High school diploma preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand daily line assignment such as piece count, label, and shrink-wrapping requirements.
• Assemble boxes and apply correct labels.
• Identify any obvious defects in products and report them.
• Communicate with material handlers, operators, and packers to solve concerns.
• Scrap foam using racks when product isn’t ready to pack.
• Complete proper set up and shut down procedures.
• Practice proper safety and housekeeping during each shift.
• Must be able to work well within a team.
• WIP, rework, or non-conforming product.
• Maintain safe operation.
