Job summary

Fagron US is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to ensure the visual inspection and packaging unit operates according to SOPs and that cleanrooms remain under microbiological control.

You will validate equipment, facilities and staff, oversee leave scheduling, daily assignments and performance, and act as project leader for special production initiatives. This role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory compliance and continuous process improvements within a dynamic, open environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulated environment.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role (Shift Leader, Group Leader, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Allocate manpower to meet daily production needs (scheduled and unscheduled).

About the Job

As the Packaging Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the visual inspection and packaging unit operates according to Standard Operating Procedures and that the cleanrooms are maintained in a state of microbiological control. This is accomplished by ensuring equipment, facility and staff are fully validated and adhere to the associated quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practice. This position is also responsible for personnel related matters including leave scheduling, daily assignments, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Appropriately allocate manpower resources to ensure the proper and timely execution of both scheduled and unscheduled production needs on a daily basis.
• Approve electronic time keeping for records.
• Lead the daily inspection and packaging operation.
• Assign production technicians as needed to accomplish tasks outside of the inspection and packaging room. Helps to identify possible improvements in physical or system processes.
• Coordinate special projects on assigned shift.
• Communicate directives and initiatives from management to production technicians on assigned shift.
• Monitor and improve workflow, to include process change development and implementation, as well as Monitor and observe all inspection and packaging functions using the approved operating procedures and batch records. Actively participate in the evaluation of staff in the performance of all work-related activities; participate in the review process for all assigned shift production technicians.
• Able to function as a project leader for special production initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working in a regulated environment with a minimum of 2 experience in a leadership position (i.e., Shift of Line Leader, Group Leader, etc) or demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Good working knowledge of all functional areas of the inspection and packaging area.
• Good communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead a team.
• Ability to work with others in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and management.
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability.
