Job summary

Tropicana Brands Group in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Packaging Off Shift Supervisor to lead front-line teams in the diversified department. You will manage hourly personnel on the plant floor, coordinate with maintenance and quality, and drive on-time packing, warehousing, and shipping operations to achieve the site goals.

The role emphasizes Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence, strong communication, and daily onsite presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably food/beverage.
• Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence experience demonstrated by a major improvement project.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business, operations management, or related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Off-shift and weekend work required.
• Willing to be onsite daily in Bradenton.

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial and accounting controls are followed to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Identify and coordinate improvements to deliver the site operating plan and close cost gaps.

• Manage direct reports via performance reviews, coaching, and development plans.
• Develop talent using leadership models and performance management processes.
• Maintain regular presence on the plant floor.
• Oversee measures including efficiency, yield loss, product quality, and inventory accuracy.

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

We are looking to add a Packaging Off Shift Supervisor for our Diversified department team. This role will be responsible for managing all activities associated with their front-line teams, in order to positively impact the overall department/area. The Supervisor will be leading a team consisting of hourly front-line associates, and possibly salaried associates Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include:

• Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility’s production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations.
• Ensure Tropicana Brands Group financial and accounting control procedures are followed to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
• Identify and coordinate operations improvements necessary to deliver the site annual operating plan (AOP). Ensure cost performance gaps are identified, action plans are developed, and resources are properly allocated.
• Builds capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
• Manage the performance of direct reports through performance reviews, frequent discussions, coaching, and career development action plans.
• Build and develop talent by effectively leveraging Tropicana Brands Group Career Growth and Leadership Models and the Performance Management Process: objective setting, performance and development (PDR), CDAP, people planning, 360 feedback, and competency review.
• This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
• Directly oversee operational measures including but not limited to efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy

The Perfect Blend: Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred preferably food/beverage experience
• Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
• Directly oversee operational measures including but not limited to CIL/CL compliance, minor stop loss, OEE/TE/RE improvement plans, SRC/RCA/BDA completion.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar fields
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
• This role will require off-shift and weekend work
• Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana [office, warehouse, manufacturing plant] in Bradenton
• Travel up to 5%
