Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Sourcing Category Management Analyst for Packaging in Cincinnati, OH.

You will support day-to-day category strategies, manage sourcing events, and analyze total ownership costs to drive savings while strengthening stakeholder and supplier partnerships. Qualifications include a business-related degree and at least 1 year in procurement functions; CPM/CPSM/CSCP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field plus professional procurement knowledge.
• CPM/CPSM, CSCP or equivalent certification is preferred.
• 1 year of professional procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or retail experience is expected.
• Ability to quantify risks and communicate opportunities clearly.
• Strong data analysis and ability to present actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Tactical Sourcing: design and execute sourcing events for category.
• Use e-sourcing and optimization tools efficiently.
• Develop award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership.
• Respond to supplier and stakeholder questions on category, supply, events, price, or specs.
• Support supplier financing programs including early payment and payables.
• Prepare planning guides to facilitate negotiations and provide support.
• Sourcing Analysis: opportunity assessments, benchmarking, should-cost modeling.
• Prepare category improvement projections and post-implementation variance analysis.
• Identify total internal costs related to supplier price, delivery, operations and quality.
• Quantify total ownership costs to identify savings.
• Contract Management: administer contract data, addendums, item master sheets, documents.
• Support category managers with supplier performance targets and scorecards.
• Work with SRM for supplier assessments and analytics to manage performance.
• Collaborate with KPI & Benefits to track savings.
