Job summary

Kroger in Cincinnati is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support day-to-day execution of category strategies, reduce total cost of ownership, and strengthen stakeholder and supplier relationships. You will analyze spend, respond to supplier questions, support supplier financing programs, and assist in contract data management and KPI reporting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business or supply chain, at least one year procurement experience, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, or related field.
• At least 1 year of procurement experience.
• Ability to communicate risks and opportunities clearly.
• Proven leadership ability and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Develop award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership.
• Respond to supplier and stakeholder questions on category, supply, events, price, or spec.
• Support supplier financing programs including early payment and payables.
• Prepare planning guides for negotiations and assist where needed.
• Conduct sourcing analysis and opportunity assessments for cost savings.
• Contribute to category improvement projections and post-implementation variance analysis.
• Identify total internal costs including price, delivery, operations and quality.
• Assist contract management team with data, addendums, and documentation.
• Support supplier performance targets and KPI scorecards.
