Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Shipping & Packaging Clerk to perform measurements, machine operations, and hand labor for packaging, boxing, labeling, and shipping preparation. You will ensure products are packed securely, documented accurately, and ready for delivery, while maintaining clean, organized work areas and adhering to safety rules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years shipping/receiving experience, and familiarity with packaging and ERP/SAP systems;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with bill of lading, packing lists, and shipping paperwork.
• Box making/box assembly experience desired.
• ERP/SAP experience a plus.
• Must read, write and understand English instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently packs orders to ensure undamaged delivery and proper labeling.
• Operates hand trucks and dollies; forklift if trained and certified.
• Prepares and maintains shipping paperwork: schedules, packing slips, bills of lading, air bills.
• Maintains clean, organized shipping area and equipment.
• Trains new/existing staff on packaging requirements and shipping processes.
• Prepares containers/crates and applies straps as needed for shipping.
• Monitors carton labeling accuracy and customer information.
