Job summary

ofi North America, a leader in global food ingredients, seeks a Reliability Engineer for its Bayonne, NJ plant. You will report to the Plant Manager and guide cross‑functional teams to ensure equipment, processes, and systems operate reliably and safely.

Responsibilities include reducing downtime, improving packaging efficiency, and driving cost savings through preventive, predictive and reliability–centered maintenance plans, with strong analytics and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or reliability engineering (or five years of relevant managerial experience in lieu of degree).
• Five years of plant experience in food, agri-service, pharmaceutical or chemical industries.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance management, and reliability prediction software.
• LEAN, TPM and Six Sigma experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability strategy to drive world-class value chain performance.
• Perform FMEA and RCA to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Design and execute preventive, predictive and reliability-centered maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure system reliability and optimization.
• Establish reliability standards, procedures and metrics to guide operations.
• Prepare data for weekly meetings and Monthly Operational Review.
