Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure finished goods meet customer expectations and to identify and classify defects at a fast-paced packaging line.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, teamwork, and basic physical capabilities, including lifting up to 40 pounds and continuous movement around the line, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet customer expectations.
• Alert the Operator to all defects so they can be addressed.
• Verify that packaging parameters on the specs sheet are met.
• Safely perform any required rework and keep the work area clean.
• Assist the Operator in grinding bottles during startup and clear jams.
• Support Maintenance through housekeeping around machines.
• Promote teamwork and help with housekeeping, packing, and transport.
