Job summary

Silgan Containers in Ohio is seeking an Inspector to ensure that finished goods meet customer specifications. You will identify and classify typical defects, alert the Operator, and verify that packaging parameters are within the specifications.

You will perform rework as needed, maintain a clean, safe work area, and support line start-up activities. Education required: High School diploma or GED; physical capability includes lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent bending and twisting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished goods and classify defects (critical/major/minor).
• Alert the Operator to defects so issues can be addressed.
• Verify packaging parameters meet specifications and perform necessary rework.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety rules and procedures.
