Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking an Inspector to ensure finished goods meet customer expectations and to identify and classify defects across production lines. You will alert operators to defects and verify packaging specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will also perform rework as needed, support maintenance during downtime, and contribute to a strong teamwork culture across the line.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• Must adhere to Silgan safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assure finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Identify and classify typical defects; distinguish critical, major and minor defects.
• Alert the Operator to all defects for prompt action.
• Verify packaging specifications and rework as required.
• Perform housekeeping and keep work area clean; assist maintenance when machines are down.
• Support a teamwork atmosphere and assist with related tasks as needed.
