Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector/Packer to support our production lines in the United States. You will generate First Piece Reports, perform ink color checks, and execute hourly quality checks to ensure product quality and process control.

You will also audit line performance, maintain accurate spec sheets, and assist with new projects and safety initiatives. This role requires lifting up to 40 pounds and a dependable, careful approach to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have been a back-up QC Inspector or a qualified Packer/Selector.
• Good attendance and dependability; strong reading/writing skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously; physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare First Piece Reports for each line running.
• Perform ink color checks and special testing as required by procedures.
• Line audit while collecting hourly samples and during free time.
• Keep spec sheets organized and up to date.
• Audit blank bottle finished goods lines in Production.
• Daily plant walk-through to identify issues (visual).
• Perform last shot measurement and visual analysis.
• Ensure accurate information to the production floor (pick lists, stickers).
• Work on new projects test and measure; participate in AVBIS training.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety rules.
