Job summary

Silgan Plastics is seeking a motivated Inspector to ensure finished goods meet customer expectations and packaging specifications. You will classify defects (critical, major, minor), alert operators, and assist with safe rework while maintaining a clean, orderly work area.

The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include monitoring packaging parameters, collaborating with operators and maintenance, and promoting a teamwork atmosphere on the line.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assure finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Identify and classify defects: critical, major, minor, and alert the Operator to defects.
• Verify packaging specifications and parameters are met.
• Safely perform rework and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Support housekeeping and team-based operations around machines and lines.
• Assist Maintenance with housekeeping around downed equipment during planned maintenance.
