Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a quality Inspector to assure finished goods meet customer standards and packaging parameters. You will detect defects, alert operators, and perform necessary rework while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will also assist with machine startup, jams, and housekeeping, support maintenance efforts, and communicate clearly to ensure compliance with safety rules and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished goods to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Alert the Operator to all defects so they can be addressed.
• Verify that packaging parameters align with specifications.
• Safely perform rework and keep the work area clean.
• Promote teamwork and assist with housekeeping, packing, and corrugated work.
• Assist the Operator in grinding bottles at startup and clear jams.
• Support Maintenance with housekeeping around machines during down times.
• Maintain a safe work environment following established standards.
• Inspect work areas for unsafe acts or conditions and communicate findings.
